GOOD TO KNOW
A FEW
clear answers.
About the mat, the idea and what comes next.
THE MAT
What is BackMat?
A firm, lightly padded surface for your side of the bed or couch. The design combines a rigid core, thin cushioning and a fabric cover. A finished sample will establish the production materials, cover construction and measurements.
How big is the mat?
The prototype footprint is 24 × 48 inches. Final covered dimensions, thickness and weight will be measured on the assembled production sample before paid orders open.
Does it fold or roll?
No. The rigid core stays flat. Matt stored his prototype between mattresses, beneath a couch or beneath couch cushions where it fit. Compare the final dimensions with your available flat storage space.
Can it go on any bed or couch?
Fit varies by furniture. Matt used his prototype beneath the sheet on his side of the bed. Compare the prototype footprint with your space; final placement, support and safe-use guidance will accompany the finished product specifications.
How should I clean it?
Care instructions depend on the production sample, fabric and cover construction. A removable cover and machine washing have not been confirmed.
ORDERING
Can I order today?
Orders are not open yet. We’re finalizing the production sample, cover construction and delivery details.
How much will BackMat cost?
BackMat is $99 USD per mat, plus applicable tax and customer-paid shipping and handling. Your full total will be shown before payment.
When will orders ship?
Dispatch timing will be published after the production sample and supplier schedule are approved.
What is the return policy?
Returns and cancellation terms will be published before paid orders open.
Do you offer wholesale quantities?
You can contact us about retail or practitioner interest. Wholesale pricing, quantities and supply terms have not been finalized. We do not currently promise discounts or clinical endorsement.
YOUR BACK
Will BackMat relieve my back pain?
We cannot promise that. BackMat has not been clinically tested and medical benefits have not been established. A firmer surface does not suit everyone.
Is firmer always better?
No. Comfort and support needs vary. Mattress research does not establish that this mat, a floor or a very hard surface will help an individual’s back pain.
When should I seek advice?
Ask a qualified clinician about persistent or worsening pain. Stop a change that worsens your symptoms. Back pain with serious new neurological symptoms or changes in bladder or bowel control needs urgent medical assessment. Read the NHS guidance on back pain for fuller information.
